“Your idea to have another birthday was simply a stroke of genius!” I’m sure most people wouldn’t agree with that statement simply because most people don’t even want to acknowledge they are having yet another birthday… but the sentiment is a really cute one, though.
Today’s project is two cards that I CASE’d from a fellow crafter. I was looking for inspiration for the new stamp set coming out in the new 2016-2017 Stampin Up catalog in June called Painter’s Palette and I came across this darling card made by My Pink Stamper. I actually found the video on her YouTube channel, her username is robynstamps. She makes some pretty awesome stuff… you should go check her out!
You can check her project out here….
So cute and so easy and quick to make!
I changed up my colors a bit and I also made the card into a birthday card… I also made two different cards because I used my Black StazOn ink first to stamp my easel and frame and just didn’t really care for it, so on the next card I used Early Espresso. When I see the Work of Art stamp set from Stampin Up, I don’t necessarily think of flowers…. Do you?
I have certainly seen some awesome flowers made with this set, though! I have made several myself.
Today’s cards are two different versions of the same card, basically. The first card is a more basic version and then the second card is a stepped up version.
The card on the left is in Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral and Island Indigo. I stamped my flower on a piece of Whisper White that measures 3 3/4″ x 4″, sponged the edges of it and then adhered that to the front of my card base and stamped my sentiment.
The card on the left is in Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz and Wisteria Wonder. I stamped my flower on the 3 3/4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White just like before, but I adhered that to a piece of Wisteria Wonder cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and then adhered that to my card base. I also stamped my sentiment on a scrap piece of Whisper White and then punched it out using the Decorative Label Punch and sponged the edges with more Wisteria Wonder and popped it up with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Basically the same card, but the one on the left has more of a “wow” factor to it, don’t you think?

Thoughts of all of you… out there… reading my blog posts and checking my Facebook page, Fuzzy Greetingz, and watching my videos on YouTubedo make me smile! Each and every one of you is appreciated, so this card is for all of you!
The colors for this project were Cajun Craze, Wild Wasabi, Hello Honey and Rich Razzleberry. Don’t they look so good together? I love love love Wild Wasabi and Hello Honey and Rich Razzleberry look like they were made for each other!
My stamp set was the Polka Dot Pieces set that I am loving more and more each time I use it! Absolutely adore those flowers! So sad to know it’s no longer available! : ( It’s also very sad to know that Rich Razzleberry will soon be without it’s Hello Honey, as well. Hello Honey is retiring this month and the ink pads are already sold out! If you want the cardstock or inker refill, it’s still available while supplies last (or until May 31), so you better hurry!
I hope you enjoyed your card today! You all really are very appreciated! Speaking of which, I would love to send you a card on your birthday, if you’d like… Just email me at email@example.com with your name, birthday and address (put #imbringingbirthdaysback in the subject line, please!) and I’ll send ya one — FOR FREE!
Today’s card was a very quick one. The most time consuming part of the card was stamping and punching out all of my little flowers…
The colors for my card today were Calypso Coral, Soft Sky and one of the new InColors that will be in the new Stampin Up catalog coming out in June, Dapper Denim.
Let’s talk about the new InColors for a moment… O…M…G! I LOVE all of them! Normally, I will like one or two of the InColors, at most, but never all of them. The colors this time around are just awesome, though! A fellow crafter said they made her think of the 80s… maybe that’s why I love them so much (I am a lover of the 80s!!). Even the names are great – Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum and Peekaboo Peach. Aren’t those so fun?? Ok, Ok.. enough drooling over the new colors… back to the card…
I used the Petite Petals stamp set and matching punch to make all of my little flowers and I used the Oval Framelits Dies to cut out my sentiment and adhere all my flowers to.
It really was that simple… Once I stamped and punched all those flowers, the rest of the card was over in a flash!
The Hello There stamp set is no longer available, but if you’d like to purchase the supplies to make the rest of the card (you could add another sentiment and make this into any kind of card – birthday, get well, thinking of you, hello, etc…), just click on the images below…
Hello friends! I have a lovely little card for you today. It went together pretty quickly. The DSP I used is some old stuff (I have so much DSP! I really need to get it used up!) that I just grabbed out of my stash that matched my colors. The stamp set I used is the All Shook Up Paper Pumpkin set from December 2014 and I also drew the Holiday Cheer stamp set.
At first, I wasn’t going to use the Holiday Cheer set, but at the last minute, I decided to use one of the border stamps. It’s hardly even noticeable, honestly. If you look in between the DSP and the Hello Friend repeating stamp, you will see a little zig zag type pattern… that’s the border stamp, stamped twice. The Hello Friend stamps are both from the All Shook Up set. I also used a punch to make a mat for my stamp (which is punched out using the large oval (I believe). The one I used for the mat is so old, I can’t even remember the name of it!
My colors for this card were Crumb Cake and Soft Sky. Didn’t have a lot to go on for this card, but I think I worked it out pretty well in the end….
If you have any questions or comments about today’s project, I’d love to hear from you!
My Superman always says this to me… I think it is I who loves him more, but I just let him go on believing his story. lol
I have had the Love You More stamp set ever since it came out, but had barely used it, and now that I have started my Shake It Up series, I have used it a couple of times. I am liking it more and more as I use it.
When I drew my color combo, I got Smoky Slate, Soft Sky, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Pumkin Pie and Whisper White. Unlike everyone else, I don’t really like Smoky Slate that much and after making the card, really wished I hadn’t used it. (I’m a little unsure of the Pumkin Pie, as well).
The frame around the Love You More sentiment is an old set that I have had forever and probably bought at Michael’s or Hobby Lobby. It came as a set of 4 photopolymer stamps and 4 framelit dies… and, in all honesty, I had never used it until I made this card. Crazy, right? I mean, look at how cute that is!
I hope you enjoyed today’s card and if you have any questions or comments, I’d love to hear from you!
Who loves sloths? I know I do! I would love to meet a sloth… but, then again, maybe that wouldn’t be such a good idea.. coz I know I would want to take it home with me!
I have this adorable little sloth wearing a Santa hat in one of my stamp sets, Fun With Christmas, and when I drew that set, I knew I was going to use that cute little guy!
Since I’m still just not ready to make Christmas cards, I changed his little Santa hat to a little beanie hat and made this into a Hello friend card, instead. Isn’t he adorable??
I also used the stamp set, All Shook Up, from the December 2014 Paper Pumpkin kit along with some Crumb Cake cardstock and just a little bit of ink, Whisper White cardstock, Calypso Coral cardstock and ink, and some Old Olive ink. I used the Circle Framelits Dies to cut my cute little guy out, as well as the circle he is matted on. To finish off my card, I used some Basic Black Stitched Ribbon.
The Circle Framelits retired this month, but starting in June, there will be some new Circle Framelits (which I actually like even more!). The Old Olive (item #126953), Calypso Coral ink (item #126983) and cardstock (item #122925), and the Crumb Cake ink (item #126975) and cardstock (item #120953) are all still available, but the Basic Black Stitched ribbon is not available now. The two stamp sets I used are also no longer available.
If you’d like to purchase any of the available items that I used today, just click the Shop Now button below…
I finally got to use my Cheerful Critters stamp set! Isn’t it cute?? I love those little critters holding their signs!
I went way back (well, kinda way back) on this one with that DSP, it’s from the Moonlight DSP paper stack because it went with my color choices of Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss (which are retiring this month! oh no!).
This was such a quick card to put together. I grabbed and cut some Blackberry Bliss cardstock in half (5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″) and folded it in half, grabbed my piece of DSP and cut it to my liking (which actually could have been thinner, I think) and then a scrap piece of Whisper White large enough to stamp my cute little bunny on. Coloring always gives me fits. For some reason, I just cannot get my markers and/or blender pens to do what I want them to… Hopefully, though, practice will make perfect… or at the very least.. better.
If you have any questions about today’s card or have any comments, I’d love to hear from you!
Hello my lovelies! I’m in the mood for love today! When I drew the Follow My Heart stamp set, I knew exactly what kind of card I would be making. I also drew the Lotus Blossom stamp set – if you don’t have this, I definitely recommend it… gorgeous gorgeous 3 step stamp on there! My color combo was Crumb Cake, Real Red and Bermuda Bay – great combo for this card!
Since I don’t have any Crumb Cake ink (yet), I used that as my card base color and then added a Bermuda Bay layer then a Whisper White layer which is what I did my stamping on.
Isn’t that so lovely? I used one of the stamps in the Follow My Heart set to stamp a background on the Whisper White cardstock in Real Red – I stamped off twice before stamping on my cardstock each time to mute the color. I tested out a few flowers on scratch paper before doing my actual stamping to see if I preferred a Bermuda Bay lotus flower or a Real Red lotus flower. As you can see, I went with the red – I think it turned out so pretty! There is also a 2 step stem stamp in the set, but since I (technically) did not draw any shades of green, I decided to forego the stem this time and just stamp the flower and then fussy cut it out. (I did end up punching out a few small leaves to add to the flower, though) I used one of the sentiments from the Follow My Heart set and then punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch (can’t believe I didn’t buy that punch sooner… love it!).
I even stamped on the inside of the card with the Eiffel Tower stamp in the Follow My Heart set and then punced out a heart in Real Red and added a little bling to it.
This card went together quickly because I knew exactly what I wanted to do with these stamp sets. This was actually the first time I had actually used the Follow My Heart set… before now, I just didn’t really know what to use it for. Shame it’s no longer available through Stampin’ Up, but if you can find it on Ebay (or elsewhere), I would recommend it.
Hope you enjoyed today’s card! If you’d like to purchase anything today, unfortunately, the two stamp sets are no longer available through Stampin’ Up, but if you can find them elsewhere and would like to purchase the other supplies used so you can make your own, please click on the images below…
Hello my lovelies! It’s been a minute since I shook things up around here, so I better get to shaking!
Today’s elements are the September 2014 Paper Pumpkin Boo-tiful Bags stamp set, the Sprinkles of Life stamp set and the color combo of Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay. I decided to take one of the card bases from the March 2015 Paper Pumpkin kit, Sew You, and cut it down to make a tag and I also used the Chalk Talk framelits and the Tree Builder Punch that goes with the Sprinkles of Life stamp set.
Once I cut the card base in half and then trimmed it down and cut the tails, I used a sponge dauber and some Daffodil Delight to fill in the white spaces between the black lines. I used Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight on the cupcake and then Rich Razzleberry on the sentiment.
I hope you all enjoyed today’s quick project! If you’d like to purchase the Sprinkles of Life stamp set or Tree Builder Punch or any of the inks I used today, just click on the images below. If you’d like to check out the awesomeness of Paper Pumpkin, don’t forget to click on my link below and sign up.
